Default Jimmy Dean's custom smite build!

This build is entirely mine, and i hope you all like it . Please try it out before you criticize it.

Arcane Echo
Word Of Censure
Bane Signet
Holy Strike
Signet of Devotion
Spell Shield
Divine Spirit
Blessed Aura

12+2+1 Smiting Prayers
12+1 Divine Favor

Here is how it works...

Start off with Blessed Aura. This will make your essential enchants last alot longer. Follow up with Arcane Echo, and then Word Of Censure. Now you cast Divine Spirit. At this point just spam word of censure until your target is dead. If you're fighting something with interupts or an elementalist, use spell shield. This build is very effective, and I've tried it vs a veriety of opponents.
Let me know what you all think.

Word of Censure is a great spammable attack, until your target goes below 33% health. I used it before, and the main problem I had was the price. It was useable every 2 seconds, but it cost 10 - my energy went down fast. I guess that is why you bring divine spirit and blessed aura. Use a staff wrapping of enchanting too, and you can get it up for a nice long amount of time.

That's a nice way of trying to make smiting work.

Your problem would be divine spirit.. even when it lasts 50% longer (30% + 20% from staff/weapon) you still only have 10-20 seconds to cast and a 40-50 seconds down time... In this 20 seconds you'll do some nice damage, gotta give.

What I see happen when I run this build is that I can easily kill a person before my enchantments run out. As for the recharge increase on WoC, you have two of them. Once theyre at 33%, the first one will recharge, so hit them with the second one. This is usually enough to kill them, even though both censures would be recharging. If theyre still alive, a bane signet would finish them off for sure.
Whoever I target is going to die before my enchants run out, unless they get some heavy healing. The problem I have is the recharge; once my target is dead, its a good 30 seconds to get back in the fight. Anyone have some ideas on how to fix that?

ok 4 things i see:

1) what happen if you are fighting more than1 enemy
2) e-denial/diversion
3) recharge time maybe combatted by using e as 2ndary and use glyph of renewal to forever maintain DS
4) energy can run out fast if DS is the only energy mgmt you have

Well since this is the PvE forum, e-denial and diversion shouldn't really be a problem. There are only very few enemies that use diversion, and the same for e-denial, I guess you just won't fight these enemies.

You could probably use Divine Spirit and Glyph of Renewal {E} for energy management, but you still have the problem of long recharges on your spells. Maybe it would work better on a ZF hybrid or something.

The glyph wont work, since it's elite. WoC is the only smite spell i saw that was spammable in this manner.

I quite like this OP build, it's original (at least I ain't seen it before). Shame there aren't that more smiting spammable skills. Shame about the downtime as well
